With co-editor Molly Young Brown, QPCC's own Carolyn Treadway has just
published Held in Love: Life Stories to Inspire Us Through Times of
Change. It is a heart-full collection of stories, poems, and
artwork from 72 writers and artists who share experiences of connection
with a loving Source within and beyond themselves. These writings and images
offer examples of the ways Love can guide and sustain us through the many
challenges of The Great Turning. The editors believe it is a timely book, and one that
hopefully will be of support to individuals and of benefit to our troubled
world. Fourteen of our contributors are Quakers.
"Here
in many voices, forms, and stories we encounter afresh the mystery at the core
of our existence--the mystery we belong to and essentially are. This beautiful, humble, and amazing book
sings my heart and mind awake." Joanna Macy, author of World As Lover, World As Self.
"Thank
you for doing this book. It is a goodhearted, wholehearted one." Bill McKibben,
educator, environmentalist, author of The
End of Nature and Deep Economy.
"In
an era of cataclysmic change, this book offers insight, wisdom, and hope for
each of us and for healing our planet. It is a resource rich in soul." Meg
Wilbur, Jungian analyst.
"Molly
and Carolyn have gathered poignant stories describing how people discover their
full belonging." Bill Plotkin, author of Soulcraft
and Nature and the Human Soul.
